This picture shows the twin fuel tanks at the back along with the engine and a 8 foot prop.
The engine sitting in the fuselage is a Curtiss OX -5. The same model of engine was used in the original Burgess-Dunne's.
This particular engine is not in working order and has several missing parts.
The Canadian National Aviation Museum in Ottawa loaned this engine to Mr. MacKeracher for display purposes only. A working model delivers about 100hp.
Very few Ox-5 engines remain today that are in working order. Thus far, the plane's owner has been unable to obtain one in suitable condition to fly this plane.
