Here we see Caldwell Linen Mill. It was perhaps the biggest local business affected by the Seaway since it employed several hundred.

This building was demolished. The company moved to a new location just north of town.

In the photo on the right you can see the large scar left on the earth where the old town was. At this point everything is gone and they are bringing in fill to raise the shoreline sufficiently so it won't be flooded for the Seaway.

Today this area in front of the new town is parkland and airstrip.
