This fuzzy picture shows the complete project at Point Iroquois.

To the bottom left is the old Gallop Canal and Iroquois Lock.

To the right of that is the new lock and channel bisecting this land mass and creating an island in the middle of the river. Between the old and new locks are two green patches untouched by construction. These are church cemeteries.

Spanning the river from this island to the American shore is the completed control dam. A section of the island immediately upstream of the dam has also been chopped off to widen the river at this point.
